ABOUT US
Operation Make is a non-profit online community of volunteers across the United States helping make and send supplies directly to our 1st responders, healthcare professionals and essential workers on the front lines in the fight against COVID-19. After hearing complaints from nurses and healthcare workers about having to re-use the same PPE over the course of several days/weeks and the discomfort from wearing protective masks over 12 hour shifts, the online 3D printing community aka “Makers” stepped up to help provide solutions to these issues.
Operation Make was founded by a U.S. Marine Veteran and his ER Nurse partner as a way to help connect these volunteer Makers directly with the donation requests from nurses, 1st responders, and essential workers across the nation using a decentralized Lean Agile approach offering 100% transparency from request to fulfillment and eliminating the need of a middleman. Operation Make is built on top of the Lean Agile Donations Management Framework (see more about LADM).
Volunteers can immediately view open donation requests and assignee themselves to an open request. Once complete, volunteers communicate directly with the requestor to arrange for contactless pickup or shipment of items.
Request Donations by filling out the request form and you will be contacted by a volunteer as available.
OUR IMPACT
As an official chapter under the Open Source Medical Supplies (OSMS) community, Operation Make volunteers directly contribute to the total weekly aggregate of PPE supplies donated across the world helping address the global PPE supply chain crisis.
